Mindfulness Nature Walks

Guided strolls through Springdale Cemetery

Join OSF Faith Community Nurse Randall McClallen as he guides you through the seasonal beauty of Springdale. During these Mindfulness Nature Walks, you’ll practice becoming aware of your surroundings and discovering how your body and mind feel while moving. They’ll help you feel less distracted and relieve stress — allowing you to enjoy your stroll more. The physical benefits of walking can also boost your cardiovascular fitness, help manage weight, lower blood pressure and improve sleep.

On each Mindfulness Nature Walk, you’ll also learn about and experience:

  • Seasonal wildflowers in bloom
  • History of Peoria
  • Body and mind awareness
  • Gravestone symbolism

Tours are FREE and can last from 1 to 2.5 hours. They are graded easy, medium or challenging and are scheduled by appointment on the following days:

Mondays – available 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
Fridays – available 8:00 am to 11:30 am
Other dates and times are subject to the guide’s availability and weather conditions.
